BIO

My formal education in art came from courses in Art History & Architecture at the University of Kansas. Informally I was mentored by noted Santa Fe artist, Dick Mason , and tutored by well-known color theorist Gloria Foss.  I got my professional  start teaching high school art  and making art quilts for Dallas area interior designers.  My husband & I have lived  in this area for  36 years.

 

Once I began painting full time, I quickly adopted the palette knife method with oils.  For 25 years now I have sold my paintings in solo shows and art festivals regionally.  During this time I have received 14 awards. The majority of my subjects are  cityscapes  and landscapes of New Mexico and Europe.  My customers are both private and corporate.

 

 I welcome  Commissions  . They comprise 25% of my regular business. Whether it is a photo from your favorite trip, your honeymoon, or  the family farm., I enjoy painting it to your specifications and  making your vision become a reality.
